The Louvre and Its Visitors

Cold weather makes me want to spend more time exploring museums. I don't have the Louvre in my backyard, but I'm sure there are other viable options in my city to visit. Until I venture out though I do have these photographs by Alecio de Andrade of visitors to the Louvre to satisfy the museum-visit-urge. The juxtaposition between people and paintings is really quite lovely and it all makes me think about the unintentional art of people. These ordinary visitors in the process of appreciating art became works of art to someone else; any of us on any given day can merely be crossing the street, hurrying through the rain but a certain composition of colors or slant of light can make our silhouette that work of art to a complete stranger...
