Viva Vena: Fashion Film

I recently stumbled across this commercial by Vena Cava for their Viva Vena! diffusion line that mocks the typical aesthetic of "fashion films" (and I might add a good number of blogs, including my own) delivered in perfect deadpan by Lizzy Caplan that simultaneously advertising their clothes in soft light on a size 0's cleverly tongue-in-cheek equal parts mocking and utilizing the trope for their own benefit. Fashion (or the clothes-obsessed) is often the brunt of the joke, so it's nice to see a brand with a sense of humor joining into the joke instead of acting aloof and above it all. But there's really no need to over-analyze it--just watch and laugh at her typing into an empty typewriter or playing with a record that reads "obscure record from the 60s."
